Setting up Secure Chat on your mobile device requires a few steps that are a bit more complicated that just using the web based chat interface. However, this setup is generally a once-off task so this guide will help you through it.
Get the Mobile Apps
You will need to get Element (or another compatible Matrix client) app from your app store. Here are the direct links to the iOS and Android versions.
Sign in on Mobile
Once you have the app, open it and start the sign in process:
As both Matrix and Element are parts of a wider network, you will need to configure the app to connect to Traversity. Select to connect to "Other":
Then enter "traversity.chat" into the Address field
You can then login to your Traversity Account:
You will need to authorise the mobile app to use your Traversity Account. This step helps prevent people from hijacking your account:
The app will then sync your account and start a verification process:
You will then be able to verify the session:
